High-Speed Mixing Technology for Optimized Concrete

 

Nowadays, conventional concrete is produced with the help of low speed mixers from 50 rpm. It implies a high amount of cement and water to synchronize hydration reactions that lead to lower outcome quality. MultiCON refined the conventional mixing process and substitute it with a dual high speed mixing technology.

The revolutionary Dual Mixing Technique is the production of high-stabilized and homogeneous water-binding suspensions due to use of the MultiCON high-speed mixer (1200 rpm) that ensures maximum cement substitution. Due to the high rotational speed and advanced design of the mixer mold and tools, relatively high shearing forces are effective in the suspension mixture. Depending on the nature of the mineral constituents used and their viscosity, this activates the surface structures and the associated suspension constituents. The rheology of the binder suspension can be specifically influenced by a targeted variation of process parameters such as the number of rotations, the concentration and the temperature of the binder additive as well as mixing times. Despite this reduction, the qualities and properties of the new cement-reduced concrete are better than the non-reduced ones.
